Via Claudia Augusta

End of September it’s the Oktoberfest! It’s not because I am 500km away with my bicycle that I will miss a good bavarian Maß! And so, 2 day after meeting again Ina and Philipp in Trieste(Italy), I enjoy being back in Munich and see all my old friends of the ex-sharingflat, rugby or Mentor. After this nice week, I start again the first week of October direction Venice. Like the via Egniata, an ancient roman way, the Via Claudia Augusta linked up Rome with its nord’s border of the empire: the Danube. Nowadays a nice cycle track is going from Augsburg(germany) to Venice through the Alpes taking the track of the ancient road. With the sunny weather of the last October it was awesome!🙂

Hey! I know them!

Dieu Merci! au sommet du col. On the top of the Fernpass.

Just after the Reschenpass at the border between Austria, Italy and Swiss. It was quite cold!

A strategic road means a lot of Castel which was control by the romans and then mainly by the city of Dodge, Venice.

Snow is back!

A nice tandem!
